Poem: Sacrifice of Praise

Offer your praise in the troubled night,

For there is One who makes the darkness hide.

Offer your praise in the daylight fair

To the One who pulled you from the snare

He who lifted your feet from the miry clay

Offer your sacrifice of praise

Praise as you work, and as you lie down to rest

Give thanks in soft meadows, and crushing test

To the One who lifts burdens from the backs of His lambs

And teaches crippled hearts to dance

Offer your sacrifice of praise

No matter what may cross the path

And take thanksgiving as your song

For we are safe from Holy wrath

The robes of Jesus’ righteousness have now because our own

Come now then with thankful heart unto the Father’s throne

Your victory is coming oh beloved of the Lord

So take up your sacrifice of praise, let it be as a sword

Speak with power to the enemy, “You will not rob my joy”

For my King has conquered over all, and Jesus Christ is Lord
